A lawsuit was recently filed against D2 Counseling, Daniel Gowan and Dina Hijazi, by former employees alleging discrimination and retaliation because they are Jewish. We take these allegations seriously and want to address them directly and transparently.

First and foremost, we categorically deny the claims made in the lawsuit. These allegations do not reflect the values, policies, or practices of our organization. We are confident that the facts will demonstrate that all employment decisions were made lawfully, fairly, and without any form of discrimination.

As a practice grounded in compassion, inclusivity, and mental wellness, D2 Counseling has long been committed to fostering a diverse and respectful workplace. We deeply value and support our Jewish staff, clients, friends, family and community partners. Discrimination of any kind has no place in our organization, and we stand firmly against antisemitism in all its forms.

Our team continues to be focused on providing high-quality, ethical, and culturally sensitive care to all clients. We will not allow this legal matter to distract from our mission of supporting mental health and well-being in our community.

Out of respect for the legal process and the privacy of all involved, we will refrain from further comment at this time. We are confident that the truth will emerge through the appropriate legal
channels.

We remain grateful for the continued support of our clients and community.
